LifeMed Alaska’s skilled staff is trained to treat everything from advanced cardiac life support to neonatal resuscitation, all while flying patients to the most advanced care available — in or out of Alaska. Our medical flight teams transfer patients in fully-equipped, medically configured aircraft which are comparable to hospital intensive care units. We remain at the patient’s side until they reach the receiving facility, providing unparalleled medical care and expertise along the way. Our critical care medical teams are able to transport and provide full resuscitative capabilities for virtually any patient condition, including:
Expert Specialty Care
At LifeMed Alaska, we take immense pride in our capacity to offer specialized care to Alaskans, catering to individuals at every stage of life. Our expert teams are well-equipped and ready to be dispatched throughout the state to ensure that every Alaskan has access to the specialized care they need.
- Neonatal Nurse Practitioners from Providence Alaska Medical Center are available to accompany us on specialized flights that require their services.
- Incubators specially designed for transport and aviation are available on demand.
- Medical crew members are trained in the use and interpretation of fetal heart monitors for high-risk OB flights
- Specialty medical guidance is available on all transports in the form of a physician board-certified in emergency medicine, a neonatologist, a pediatric intensivist or a maternal-fetal medical specialist.
