LifeMed Alaska is Alaska’s premier medevac transportation provider. Alaska’s geography requires, in many instances, some of the longest transport distances in the United States.
On Scene Responses
LifeMed’s helicopters respond directly to the scene of an accident. These responses provide a high level of skill to patients with multiple injuries at the accident scene and quickly transport to a fully-equipped trauma facility – minimizing the time from injury to definitive care decreases mortality and morbidity.

LifeMed Alaska’s fleet of aircraft has been purposefully chosen to provide short, medium and long range capabilities to cover Alaska, the lower 48 states, and International locations

GROUNDÂ OPERATIONS
Ground Ambulance Services
LifeMed’s on-demand ground ambulance service is a necessary part of the medical transportation infrastructure in Southcentral Alaska. Our Advanced Life Support (ALS) providers perform transport between medical and long-term care facilities, and provide the ground transportation between the airport and hospital for LifeMed and other air ambulance providers.
